If you want to get a great picture or simply have an awesome view of the bridge, head here. But lookout, if it's fogged-in, you'll be in trouble. Be sure to look at the web for the Golden Gate before you go, it has a live traffic camera and you'll be able to tell if the bridge is fogged-in. To... More

Excellent views although could be shrouded in mist at times. We drove one day and walked a path to see the bridge and ocean, then passed it again another day while we were biking across the bridge. Either way, you should not miss stopping by - maybe on your way to Saulsalito.

Fantastic view of the Golden Gate, but you must walk up the hill to really appreciate it. Pick a clear day, get a bus to the Golden Gate visitor centre & walk across the bridge to the top fo the hill its great!

Great views of the Golden Gate Bridge. You drive your car around a snaky road and get to see downtown from different altitudes. I also saw a bobcat at the bottom of the headlands. At the bottom of the headlands there are some great places to have a picnic and view the beaches that lie below and still have great... More

I traveled with a friend and her father to this location. It was really great, I didn't know about it and he has been walking this trail for sometime. It was a really nice area and was one of the best views that I can think of. It's a wonderful place to visit and one of the few places that... More

It's all been said in other reviews. "Must see" is on point. The view of San Francisco and the bay are stunning. Easy stress free drive, or a fun bike ride. Be in fairly good shape though for the bike ride, as the hills are a bit of an exercise..

Lovely spot to turnaround if you are just doing a quick crossing of the Golden Gate bridge and if you want amazing SF photo, this is the spot on a clear day. Enjoy.

I always bring visiting friends at this location and I always get the ooooh's and ahhhh's because of the breathtaking view of the Golden Gate bridge. For photographers. I highly recommend coming here during the golden hour, sunset and night time. Try to bring a jacket when you plan on going here because it gets windy and chilly in this... More

I had no idea what I had to look forward to upon crossing the Golden Gate bridge. A number of times my college kid, teenager and I almost talked ourselves out of crossing the bridge, because the views from Crissy Overlook seemed sufficient enough! So glad we went the extra distance. It was a little quirky to maneuver around as... More

I'm waiting for my young nephews to come to take them to this place. How cool is it to go along a path way above the bay (looking down to see seals and up to see gulls), go through a cave/tunnel, cross a wiggly suspension bridge above churning water to arrive at a lighthouse in which there is a docent...
