We stopped on both the south bound and north bound exits to the area. The sites are great and the trails are great on the more western area. The bikes going up and down all the switchbacks were a surpise to the drive to the top but we got there early in the morning and had most of the sites... More

We are so blessed to live in an area with such a jewel of a recreational area! The last time I was personally enjoying this area was when our running group ran over the Golden Gate Bridge and experienced (once again) the jaw-dropping views of the bay. What a sight!

Great place to have views of Golden gate bridge. Key things to note was model of bridge and its information and recently created technology picture which shows the bridge construction pictures from its start and completion as we walk past the photo. Has a bike trail, gift shop, restrooms and round building to take pictures. We took a family photo... More

one of the few things that is free in SF--definitely take the time to visit the bridge and walk its span. great views of SF and East Bay. Even though there are some heart thumper parts for those like me with vertigo issues, its do-able and well worth it.

There is Crissy Field and the waterfront beaches, Fort Point, the Marin Headlands, and more. Check out their web site before you visit San Francisco so you can learn about all the many historical, natural, and recreational things to see and do in this network of sites. http://www.nps.gov/goga/index.htm I did not give it five stars because, perhaps because this is... Take a bus and ride all over the City and find all sorts of places affiliated with GGNRA. Get out and walk through parks, over GGB, enjoy the beach, and walking's FREE! Some things may have a charge, but you don't have to pay to walk and look. Best deal in the City.

Offering plenty of great views of the Golden Gate Bridge, this area can be enjoyed by everyone. Without a doubt the running, biking and hiking trails are the top offerings for this very naturally beautiful area. The terrain varies with everything from coastal to steep hills. For those not wanting to break a sweat, driving through the area is also... More

Much of this is the former Army Crissy Field and Presidio of SF. Right next to the Golden Gate Bridge, it is a great place to exercise and relax

Amazing especially from Marin Headlands. But almost always fogged in. See lots of people who get bikes to check this area out, might be difficult for the average person, can be hilly. Make sure you go underneath the bridge as well to Krissy Field.
