We are so blessed to live in an area with such a jewel of a recreational area! The last time I was personally enjoying this area was when our running group ran over the Golden Gate Bridge and experienced (once again) the jaw-dropping views of the bay. What a sight!

one of the few things that is free in SF--definitely take the time to visit the bridge and walk its span. great views of SF and East Bay. Even though there are some heart thumper parts for those like me with vertigo issues, its do-able and well worth it.

There is Crissy Field and the waterfront beaches, Fort Point, the Marin Headlands, and more. Take a bus and ride all over the City and find all sorts of places affiliated with GGNRA. Get out and walk through parks, over GGB, enjoy the beach, and walking's FREE! Some things may have a charge, but you don't have to pay to walk and look. Best deal in the City.

Much of this is the former Army Crissy Field and Presidio of SF. Right next to the Golden Gate Bridge, it is a great place to exercise and relax

A highlight of any trip to San Francisco. This area is continuing to get better and better. A must see on even the briefest visit to the city.

Amazing especially from Marin Headlands. But almost always fogged in. See lots of people who get bikes to check this area out, might be difficult for the average person, can be hilly. Make sure you go underneath the bridge as well to Krissy Field.
