At Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids’ bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and we open at 8am every day. For those that want something more we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary, so come on down when you’re ready to Bike the Bridge! « less

My review may be more about the ride over the Golden Gate to Sausalito, but the company was good too. I read other reviews and they were so good, but our experience was. Only one bike had problems, the seat popped down twice, but I easily re-adjusted and was on my way - what do you expect from bikes that... More

I loved every minute of this, both myself and my boyfriend are huge fitness fans so for us this was just perfect! The staff are very friendly and give you a brief talk on the bikes, how to change gears etc etc. Then we were off, we decided to cycle as far as we could and it ended up being... More

So first of all a few things, 1) Make sure you do the bike ride to Sausalito and Tiburn over the Golden Gate Bridge, AMAZING 2) DO NOT use Blazing Saddles for the bikes 3) Read the terrible & poor reviews on here and the responses from BS staff, all they do is apologise but never offer a solution/compensation while... We rented bikes from one of the places on Fisherman's Wharf, and rode over the Golden Gate bridge into Sausalito. The staff was friendly and got us set up right away. I did end up having issues with my bike after we were on the other side of the bridge. The seat wouldn't stay up so I kept having to... More

We walked up to blazing saddles and were on our way in about 10 minutes with bikes, helmets, water, map and ferry tickets. There is a flat bike path most of the way from Fishermans wharf to the bridge. Only the last bit is steep. Other is my family rode up the steep bit but I walked along with several... More

Blazing saddles has tons of bikes and several locations, We rented bikes at Fisherman"s Wharf. Were greeted outside and were taken care of quickly, but the clerk ran very quickly through the route and did not inform us of the ferry schedule at all. We were under the impression that the ferry ran regularly, but we had to wait over... More

This really is one of the activities everyone should try at least once when they're in San Francisco. Biking that incredible bridge, lunching in Sausalito, carrying on to the Redwoods and then Tiburon for dinner, ferrying back with great harbour views, and then cycling the wonderful city waterfront ... all the while enjoying the lovely views and easy cycling, makes... It´s hard to review a bike rental shop... they just rent bikes!! but this place gives me a chance to highly recommend the ride up to Tiburon, it is just amazing!. First the bike shop: Good bikes, nothing too fancy, with a map and directions stuck to the handle (very handy). It seemed overpriced for my budget ($65 a day).... More

We used the Fishermans Wharf depot and cycled over the bridge in March 2013, Two adults and two children (aged 9 and 11)- the bikes were well used but in well serviced condition. The views were amazing and it was really enjoyable. The route to the bridge is very easy to navigate. We crossed the bridge and had a picnic... More

I rented a high-end carbon road bike from Blazing Saddles. This was actually the second time that I used Blazing Saddles on Columbus St. and Marc was helpful and accommodating in every way. Bike was well tuned and provided many miles of enjoyment during my visit to San Francisco. I'd recommend this place to anyone!
