The show was to run for six weeks. That was over 37 years ago… Today, Steve Silver’s Beach Blanket Babylon has the distinguished title of “World’s Longest Running Musical Revue.” The show – a musical spoof known internationally for its extravagant costumes, outrageous hats, show-stopping numbers and hilarious puns of pop culture and political character – has been seen by over 5.5 million people, including HRC Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Camilla the Duchess of Cornwall as well as some of Hollywood’s biggest stars."Steve Silver's Beach Blanket Babylon," hailed as “a constant cascade of showstoppers” by the "San Francisco Chronicle", follows Snow White as she takes a fast-paced journey around the world in search of her “Prince Charming.” Along the way she encounters a star-studded, ever-changing line-up of hilarious pop-culture characters, including President Barack & Michelle Obama, Gangnam Style, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the Queen of England, Honey Boo Boo, Governor Jerry Brown, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Hilary & Bill Clinton, Oprah Winfrey, Nancy Pelosi, Michael Jackson, Adele, General David Patraeus, “50 Shades of Grey,” and The San Francisco Giants. « less

Seen this 4 times; once even when it came to London for the Covent Garden Festival. It is fun, camp (though not especially gay) and always very topical - some of the impressions more american than universal. The humour is timeless and the costumes, singing and the unbelievable hats continue to be excellent. Get there early because the seats arent... More

A great review featuring hats like you wouldn't believe, political satire that is updated and current, singing and dancing that was extremely talented. The energy of the performers was breathtaking. Best to book your seats in advance and probably best to sit upstairs because the seats on the main floor are neither raked nor staggered and admission is on a... More

If you ask "What does San Francisco have, that I should see?" This is it. Prepare to be entertained and laugh. If you don't , go buy a sense of humor. It is big, bold and no one in the public eye is off limits. The show continues but it changes based on current events. SEEING IT AGAIN IS NEVER... More

I went to San Francisco for a moms' weekend out, and probably the highlight of our trip was this performance! The theater is small, so I'm not sure there's a bad seat, it would just depend on your preferences. We wound up sitting in the center, right at the stage, which might be too close for some - there's a... More

BBB is a Spoof on current events and people and nothing is sacred when it comes to make fun of anything- be it politics, celebrities or just anything that deserves to be mocked. It changes pretty often so that makes i more fun!!

There is only one reason this show has been going for so long, it is after all America's longest running musical review show (over 37 years!)- it is just that good! This would seriously have to be the funniest show I have ever seen, a really great Production, always adapting their skits and characters to current world events and people... More

Ask for the Cyril Magnin Royal Box - perfect, centrally positioned. This show is relaxing fun. Program testimonials from John Cleese and George Shultz - not many shows can claim that.

I enjoyed the show- great voices, cute costunes & timely political/cultural humor. The production is a bit stale, as is the venue. Having seen Capitol Steps & Forbidden several times, I had high expectations which were generally met

We went for Mother's Day and it was worth the trip. Kids may not get some parts though as they bring a lot of political aspects in.
