We show you San Francisco’s wild history and modern trends, including food, art, music, kooky local politics, and, of course, all things bicycles. Our guided bike tours focus on the city’s neighborhoods and include: Unique history, diverse neighborhoods, Victorian architecture, public art, awesome bikes, & tasty local cuisine. Fun, friendly, local guides. Safe, bike-friendly routes that go around those infamous hills. Discounts for students, teachers, and military. We offer three main guided tours: Heart of the City: 3-3.5 hrs, $65/person, about 9 miles. Explore the city’s interior neighborhoods including the Mission, Haight-Ashbury, and Civic Center. The Classic: 4.5-5 hrs, $89/person, about 12 miles with stop for lunch. Everything the Heart of the City has plus the Castro, SoMa, some additional stops, and a lunch break to taste delicious local cuisine. 7x7: 5.5-6 hrs, $115/person, 17-18 miles with a stop for lunch. « less

Because of this tour, we had to chance to see much more than we ever would have any other way. Claire was a great guide to the street art, history and past and current cultural politics related to neighbourhood gentrification and Google Buses! We had the great luck of taking a tour on the same day as Bay to Breakers... More

The best Place in San Francisco to get rental bikes or explore the City. The guys are really friendly and very helpful! If you're in SF, do not miss the opportunity to book a tour!

The 'Classic' ride lasts around four hours with lots of stops and get this....hardly any hills! I won't spoil the ride with too many details on our guide managed to do that. I have to say that this may be the best way to see San Francisco. Great staff at SOSF! We rode through some great neighborhoods, saw local art,... More

Hired a bike off these guys for a couple of days and it was a beast of burden. Managed to do around 30 miles in two days, including a trip to and around Angel Island, and back through Sausalito and over the Golden Gate bridge. Bike didn't miss a beat and Tim provided me with bungy cords, lights and a... More

This was the best thing I got to experience while visiting San Fransisco. How I wish I would have had my GoPro hooked up to my helmet, so much to see. I really liked our tour guide Bebee, she is very outspoken and will fill you with so much information about the city. When I get the chance to visit... More

After spending time researching cycling tours of SF I decided to book the 7 x 7 tour with SoSF. I cycle a lot so I wasn't concerned about the distance but as I only had one "tourist' day in SF (the rest was work) I wanted something that would be a little bit challenging, a little bit educational and a... Did the 7X7 tour! It was great! Our tour guide, Beebe, was awesome and very knowledgeable. Avoided all of the large hills, except for one, which we just walked up. The tour covered lots of area and saw a lot of stuff. This bike tour is a must if you're going to spend a few days in San Francisco!

If you can ride a bike, don't miss taking this tour!!! What a fantastic way to see the inner city of San Francisco. My husband and I had a wonderful day touring with our guide, Josh. The weather was fantastic and we saw so many incredible sights. We did the "wiggle" route, which avoids all of the large hills. Josh... More

Thank you for the great positive feedback. We love your enthusiasm as it matches our love of this amazing city. All of our guides are simply the best (our humble opinion) and Josh is a rockstar. We hope that next time you come back to SF we can take you out on our Classic East tour (launching in June) that... More

Loved this took the whole family and they had a blast , our guide was fun and informative and chilled out. even our teen son enjoyed, such a great way to cover al lot of ground and feel like you are experiencing a city just not touring. Loved the ice creams next door in a little pop up business.
