On the way from Arizona to Utah. You can stop 5 minutes, take couple of pictures, and go :D Worth it ;)
Nice arch, but the backdrop has been trashed by a cheesy development directly adjacent. Easy access via short trail. It's just a nice quick pull out when you are on Highway 191 going thru the area. Good for families with small kids.
We stopped by this arch on the way out of town. It is just south of Moab on Hwy 191. Right on the roadway, there are signs that indicate where the arch is. Easy to see and access. There are more outstanding arches but this is a great arch outside the park. You don't need a four wheel drive to... More
In my efforts to find the beginning of the LaSal Mountain loop, i drove by Wilson Arch - so I stopped! It looked large from the highway and it had an impressive arch to it. So i climbed it with my camera in hand. I am NOT an outdoorsy person so if my body can get to the top, you... More
This is one you will pass on your way into Moab. Well worth a stop and a stretch of the legs. All these Arches throughout this area are fantastic photo ops. all around Moab is photographers dreams..
A beautiful Arch right on the main highway..no time to go thru Arches national Park to see Arches..well you won't be disappointed with this beautiful Arch right on 191...you can hike up to it or just enjoy the view from the parking lot
Its not Mesa Arch which is located in a National Park that was closed by our government when we were in Moab---but it does light up in the morning when the sun first comes up and reflects on the underside---about 20 miles south of Moab---good photo op and easy to find with just a pull-off from the road.
As Arches National park was closed!we were happy to find another arch on the highway while leaving Moab This is a real pretty one, the climb up to the arch is short , but very sandy so quite sloppy The arch itself is great, nice size and shape, we visited in the morning, so the best photographs were to be... This arch is right on the highway going to Moab from the south. It is big and hard to miss. It just hollers at you to stop and look. It is also just a short climb/hike to get underneath it. Great place for pictures.
Because of the National Park close down, we could not get into Arches National Park. Very disappointed. But on the 191 drive down to see "something", we finally saw an ARCH! A beautiful one too! A gorgeous blue sky was framed by this beautiful arch. Worth seeing.
