This is an "old fashioned" general store in a downtown neighborhood. The merchandise is not "old fashioned" by any means. Some local hand made goods, as well as name brand clothing and shoes. Great sale going on in January! Don't miss this store if you're visiting Asheville.

Mast General Store is my favorite place to shop in Asheville. Great outfitters for all of your hiking needs and very helpful, knowledgeable staff. The barrels full of candy and old coke freezer with ice cold drinks are perfect refreshment while strolling downtown.

I love this store. I could spend a lot of time just browsing. They have really neat stuff that you can't find elsewhere, and it's not overpriced. It's pretty old-fashioned but that is part of the charm.

The Mast General Store is one my must stops when in Asheville. I have always been happy with their selection of clothing and goods. They have most anything you could want from tourist gifts to comfortable clothing that is of quality.

This place is the best place for buying clothes and shoes for outdoor living. New shipments come in everyday of Inge we Ned for outdoor sports. I love their sweaters, jackets and pullover tops. I was just at this store last week. It closes way too early during prime seasons. We wanted to stop in again after dinner around 7pm, but it was closed. The candy is why we like to visit.
