Historic and college girls were practicing a vespers concert when we visited. Beautiful structure. Simpler than Trinity church nearby
Headed by a woman pastor, this church has a noble history that continues today in its work with the homeless and those victimized by human trafficking. And if you care little about that, then visit the church to see its beautiful construction.
I had heard about this church in the news a few months ago and was glad to see it. The members of the church sold a precious artifact to help people. This was quite an awesome decision to make. The church is beautiful. I love stained glass windows and the windows in this church are amazing. The person who welcomed... More
This church is just across the street from Trinity Church. Both churches are historical and fantastically ornate, but Trinity’s location in the center of Copley Square tends to overshadow Old South. It’s too bad (unless the church prefers it that way), because a lot of people seem to skip right over it. Things are a lot more low-key here. There... More
This is actually the "New" Old South Church, with the current site dating from 1875 though the congregation dates back to the mid 17th century. ...while the vaulted ceilings and stained glass windows had me sitting in the Church for some time. Missed the guided tour but the staff on hand has a self guided tour brochure readily available. Situated in Copley Square and near the tragic event of the Boston Marathon bombing site, this Church would appeal to any one with an eye for... More

We happened upon this church by accident and it was amazing. They were playing the organ and the people were so imformative and friendly. Just an amazing Gothic Cathedral ... they talked with us and made us feel so welcome. There were people out working on the flower garden outside .. .the place had just a special spirit about it.
This active and stately church, built in 1874 in an exuberantly Gothic Revival architectural style, stands on Boylston Street near the MBTA Green line’s Copley Station and opposite Copley Square. On the inside and the outside, this singularly beautiful national historic landmark house of worship has it all: several rose windows, many stained glass windows, a magnificent bell tower, several... Beautiful building, found out there was a Thurs PM jazz worship and I went the next evening. Very welcoming and very much a part of the community and a part of the healing from the... More
