We were accompanied by a friend who lives locally to Central park and learned a lot, so we hope this review will help others. If having a horse drawn carriage ride try to get one that has a native NY driver or someone who has been there a long time, we got one that was displaying an Irish flag and... More

My partner and I went there on a sunday and was amazed how long it took to walk the whole of the park. We would recommend going on a Sunday just to exspirence the atmosphere with all the baseball games going on and the picnics and genral busyness of it all.watching the painters and sculptors is fantastic .

Central Park used to be so unfriendly and dangerous in the 70's and early 80's, but now it is a fabulous place to have some time-out in NYC. i am a photographer, and never tire of walking around it photographing its beauty spots. Time was, back in the day, that I would have been afraid on my own, but not... More

Skip the south end and go the 100 Street and 5th Avenue and stroll through the Conservatory Gardens. Be prepared to dodge a picture with a bride and groom and their wedding party. The beautiful boat house and lovely plantings are worth the trip. Then head uptown for dinner at Sylvia's or the Red Rooster Harlem!

We have spent much time in Central Park. It is one of our favorite places. Bring a picnic basket and go down by the lake. Like being in the country. Visit the zoo. We always do that. Take a horse and buggy ride. It is so serene, just walking thru the pathways in the park.

We were really looking forward to going to the Central Park since all of our friends had recommended us to go there for at least half a day. It was actually more impressive than we thought and a must-see place when visiting New York. Definitely go for the bike rental and the boat rental.

I visited NY for the first time in February, arriving the day after (the 'morning after') Nemo had swept through the city. I'd never seen snow. I was travelling with my family and my Mother had said to me before we left - "if it snows while we're in NY, we have to go to Central Park" - so it... More

A trip to New York is incomplete without visiting the serenity that Central Park offers. A lot of 'New Yorkers' don't have the advantage of outdoor space so it is usually busy but due to the size of the Park, you never feel cramped. There are a lot of dog-walkers but they all have great respect for the Park and... More

It is just your usual park. And it was not a good time to visit since it was early spring, and there are no greens yet. I hope to see it again when the flowers are in bloom.

Central Park is huge! Get a map of it before you go like we didn't! There is even a zoo and a nice little organic only Cafe. Visited John Lennon's memorial at Strawberry fields. Lots to see and do.
