The Cloisters is such an unexpected treat. A wonderful spot to get away from the city. Once inside, you almost have the feeling of being in Europe. Wonderful tapestries and vistas. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits there.

A New Yorker friend told me about this, and it remains one of my favourite NYC experiences and one of my favourite museums in the world. The guided tours are brilliant and the gardens around the museum are beautiful.
