I have taken the tour and became a member but not necessarily in that order. :) There is a ton of fascinating history and there are guided tours provided during the weekdays be sure to come by!

The Masonic Temple offers hour tours several times a day Monday-Friday. I went and really enjoyed it. It was neat to learn a little about Freemasons and to see the architecture in all of the different meeting rooms. Located next to City Hall and JFK Plaza, it was easy to include in my tour of Philly.

Hm 6 Dollar admission for a own walked tour through a church. had been little bit to much for me and a friend. So we skiped walking in it. But this church is still a cool church to look at from the Outside, very asymmetric, for example both front towers are different high and on one side it got one... More

We were excused from an entrance fee because one of our group was a mason. There was a guided tour through the temple. I would have preferred more time and more information in each room we visited and less time in the museum area. I think our guide was tired. Too bad. The artwork was phenomenal. Each room we visited... More

Just off City Hall on N. Broad Street. Inexpensive tour of the innards of the temple. Basicly a room-by-room walk around of the numerous and large and highly decorative ceremonial rooms. A treat for the eyes. See the Egypian room and you think the pyramids are next door. Every room has a distinctive architecure and flavor, highly finished products. This... More

Touring the temple is a journey through diverse & beautiful architectural styles interwoven with American history. If only every hour of our lives were filled with such wonders! Helpful hint: If you would like to explore the museum, arrive an hour before the time you plan to take the tour. There is A LOT to see in this one-room museum.
