The Masonic Temple offers hour tours several times a day Monday-Friday. I went and really enjoyed it. It was neat to learn a little about Freemasons and to see the architecture in all of the different meeting rooms. Located next to City Hall and JFK Plaza, it was easy to include in my tour of Philly.
this is a great place to take a tour and learn and se the splendid rooms- reputedly on of the best masonic Temples anywhere.
If you love art and architecture you'll love this place. Amazingly decorated theme rooms and interesting historical fscts about the Masons.

Worth a trip. Amazing how many past presidents have been Masons. Rooms are very ornate. check time and dates. Close to city hall and reading terminal

I would have preferred more time and more information in each room we visited and less time in the museum area. I think our guide was tired. Too bad. The artwork was phenomenal. Each room we visited...

Just off City Hall on N. Broad Street. Inexpensive tour of the innards of the temple. Basicly a room-by-room walk around of the numerous and large and highly decorative ceremonial rooms. A treat for the eyes. See the Egypian room and you think the pyramids are next door. Every room has a distinctive architecure and flavor, highly finished products. This...

Touring the temple is a journey through diverse & beautiful architectural styles interwoven with American history. If only every hour of our lives were filled with such wonders! Helpful hint: If you would like to explore the museum, arrive an hour before the time you plan to take the tour. There is A LOT to see in this one-room museum.
We didn't actually go inside because it was closed on that day but the exterior is very impressive!! Amazing!
