Thanks to Tripadvisor reviews I booked 2 mural tours for our trip to Philly. Both were wonderful!! With our schedule and the mural arts schedule, to get the tours I wanted they would be the same day. I called the office to check because the Mural Mile Walking Tour was from 11-1 and the Love Letter Train Tour was from... More

Philadelphia has over 3700 murals painted on buildings throughout the city. The murals are really something to see and cover walls on buildings throughout the city. There are several ways to see them, trolley tour, Love Letter tour, Mural Mile Walking Tour, Ale and Arts Adventure Tour, African American Iconic Images Collection Trolley Tour, Murals and Meals Tour and a... When I was looking for the perfect way to propose, I stumbled upon the Mural Arts Love Letter Tour. It couldn't have been more perfect. The tour begins and ends in Love park (excellent for post-engagement photos) and tells the story of a lost love regained. The murals are graffiti-style, so a little different from some other mural tours. This... More

The mural tour was the high point of our stay in Philadelphia, although our feet and bladders gave out before the end (it is about 2 hours and 1 mile and endlessly fascinating). You can book one of several tours or grab a map at the mural arts program gallery at an indoor shopping mall called the Gallery, and see... More

I just returned from a long weekend exploring Philadelphia with friends. We jammed many attractions and sights into our four days there, but my absolute favorite was the Mural Arts Program Walking Tour. It's so impressive how the city has turned a 1980s graffiti problem into becoming "The City of Murals." The scope and variety of the magnificent murals is... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying a bike tour through the fairmount section of Philadelphia. Our guide, Benjamin, was wonderful! He had our safety in mind at all times while answering all of our questions. His passion for our wonderful city and the murals showed in every word from his mouth. We would do another tour in... An excellent expenditure of time is to take a walking tour of the mural arts. Although a bit more expensive than I would have thought ($17/person), we were most fortunate to have been the only two persons to sign up for the tour we took. Our guide Mary (a psychiatric nurse by trade) was extremely knowledgeable about the individual murals... More

This is my favorite thing about the city where I live: there are more than 3000 murals so we are always turning a corner and discovering a new mural (or seeing an old friend). Try the "Mural Mile" in center city - a self-guided walking tour with cell phone info at each stop. Favorites are the multi-media murals that incorporate... More

Did you know Philadelphia has more wall murals than any other city in the world? It is estimated that a new wall mural is put up in Philadelphia almost every three days! My girlfriend and I did the walking mural arts tour on Saturday, April 28, 2012 and really enjoyed it. Our tour guide gave us the history behind all... More

As part of a mural tour we went to the mural arts programme in the mall. One of the artists gave us a talk about the mural they were currently completing about suicide. We also had an offer to do some painting of the mural which would have been a lot of fun but we didn't have the time to... More
