Very nice shuttle is taken out to the grounds, while their is a recording played of some basic facts on the way out. A ranger, and other guides, give you first hand knowledge of the President and the First Lady's personalities, and how they entertained guests, etc. They really brought the history to life through their informative talks in each... We decided to hop in there and see what it was about. I was pleasantly surprised and we enjoy it very much ! I am glad we saw it because what you see on TV or in books is different than seeing things in person and getting details you would not elsewhere. Worth a look when you are in Gettysburg... More

We were lucky and saw the Mamie Eisenhower show and the fashion show and Tea. I reviewed the old cars and met an Historian who was at the garage. Ken Weir and I discussed WW2 and IKE. It was grand !

We were going to pass on this and so glad we didn't. It was interesting and it was amazing how modestly someone from his stature lived. This home is adjacent to the battlefields and yet so peaceful. After a guide gives you a tour of the house, you can self tour the grounds. There is a number you can call... More

The presidents home is well maintained and the guides seemed very knowledgeable. Sweet older gentlemen that probably knew him!

We had the privilege to be 2 of 4 people doing the tour the day we went and we were able to have as much time walking around looking at the house and land. The cell phone tour was a good bonus but the park ranger was SO helpful and gave us a little extra time and information than normal... More

Too many visitors bypass the Eisenhower and those that do are short changing their visit to Gettysburg. A real gem. Best visiting days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and 2013 is the anniversary of the Battle so the entire area will be teeming with visitors (prediction is 4 million). We were fortunate. Crowds were sparse (our shuttle bus had only 8... More

We were recommended to visit the Eisenhower Home if we had time. We are certainly glad we made the time. It was a wonderful experience and we thought it was such a modest home for such a famous President. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a step backward to the 50s and 60s. The house is just as the Eisenhowers lived in it down to the last detail. 98% original furnishings, and it is a self-guided, take your time visit. Wonderful - probably the best part of my visit.

Much more detail than we expected. The grounds were expansive and we had no idea that Gettysburg is where President Eisenhower started, as a Ranger! Quite Interesting.
