We stopped at the Oregon film Museum while we were up in Astoria for the Goonies weekend. I'd have to say that if you have never saw the Goonies the Museum would still be interesting but not all that great. I am giving it an Excellent raiting because I have seen the Goonies - if you have seen it then... More

It is located in the old city jail (interesting building), but mostly seemed like it was all based on a movie called The Goonies that was filmed in Astoria. I might have enjoyed it more if I had seen that movie??

The best part is the museum use to be an old jail. Otherwise there isn't a whole lot to see-its small and becomes very cramped if more than 4 people are in the "museum". Mostly all about Goonies. It was interesting but once was enough for me.

This is located in the old Clatsop County Jail, where parts of the movie "Goonies" was filmed. There is a lot of inforamtion about "Goonies" plus other movies filmed in the Astoria area and in Oregon. There are three movie sets--one from "Goonies", one from "Kindergarden Cop", and one from "The Shinning". You get a special pass when you buy... More

This should just be called the "Goonies" museum because, basically that's all it is. I understand, it was filmed in Astoria, but not super exciting for someone who doesn't like the movie, or who has never seen it. It is in the old jail though, so that is pretty neat, you also get to use different sets and professional cameras... More

I'm a movie buff from way back and one of our reasons for visiting Astoria was, of course, the Goonies! The Oregon Film Museum has been set up so well. Goonies artifacts and other Goonies related things are placed throughout the old jail. They also had an attraction where you could star in your own movie - complete with props... More

The neatest thing we liked about the museum was seeing the old jail itself! alot of movie posters and things especially from goonies have actually never watched the movie! only takes 10 mins to see everything, small gift shop as well on site, kids might have fun making their own movie take and you can email to yourself. At least... More

Small place with some movie sets that you can make your own movie in. It is located in the old jail with some movie items from Goonies. $4 seemed high for this.

Very small due to it being in an old jail and not a lot of film memorabilia. Fun little area to film reenactments.

Who knew that we old ladies would end up making our own movies, and comedies, at that! You might have to start calling us Betty White wannbes! This is a really fun museum if you can set aside your inhibitions and get into the spirit of it. We couldn't figure it out at first, but we asked and some kind... More
