The National Aquarium in Baltimore is an adequate aquarium, but far from one of the best in the US. It is located in the Inner Harbor so is easy to find and to enjoy the area as a whole. The aquarium itself is large which would lead you to expect to find a lot of different exhibits. However there is... More

This aquarium was OK at best. The location is pretty central, but it is WAY OVERCROWDED. We followed the website advice about getting there early and on a weekday only to find it overloaded with at least 9 different buses filled with unruly teenagers and their poorly appointed chaperones. Although we got right in, the exhibits were ridiculously crowded, it... More

One of the best aquariums I've visited with interesting displays for kids and adults. We loved the tanks that started on one floor and continued with different views as you walked down a slanted walkway. The rainforest was really neat and provided a lot more than just fish and marine animals. It was clear that this was designed by the... More

Expensive but so are all zoos and aquariums now days. A very nice selection of species and a really cool rainforest exhibit that fills the top floor.

I love all things marine biology related and so, on a business trip to Maryland, I thought the National Aquarium would make for a pleasant hiatus. I must say I was disappointed. The array of wildlife was great, especially the frogs! Still, I left unsatisfied. Here's what I did not like so much: 1) There was a frustrating lack of... More

I have been to the Baltimore Aquarium many times growing up and am sad to say how incredibly disappointed my visit was. The aquarium is under construction which they don't tell you on the web-site. The dolphin show was always the greatest part of the visit, they no longer have "shows" and do "presentations." The presentation was unfortunately boring, showed... More

We have visited twice over the course of a couple years and have not been impressed either time. I think this aquarium is over rated for what it is and the price you have to pay to get in. It is extremely crowded, the exhibits are fine but nothing to write home about. Both times we were there, there were... More

This is a great aquarium for its size but unfortunately for this trip they were in the middle of a huge new renovation.

What I liked is that this aquarium was walking distance from the hotel we stayed in, as far as the aquarium I was truly disappointed for the 8 hours that we drove to get their, I have been to the Aquariums in Chicago, Gatlinburg, Atlanta, and Cincinnati, the only thing that was exciting for me were the Jelly Fish that's... While I'm happy to hear you enjoyed our Jellies exhibit, I'm disappointed to hear you had a less-than-amazing time with us during your visit. We aim to provide a fun and engaging experience for our guests (especially those like you who have frequented aquariums around the country!). I want to apologize on behalf of the National Aquarium. I hope, if... More
