Now when it comes to watching a ball game there is nothing like sitting in an old style stadium, watching minor league players (real players that is) drinking inexpensive beers, and eating very good inexpensive food. Box seats aren't at all better than the General Admission, don't spend the extra $3 a ticket. Plenty of seats for weekday games exist. Scoreboard had an annoying blur in the middle and the ball count on the scoreboard never worked right the entire game.

Baseball is not usually my thing but the Sand Gnats make it a fun family event. They have different things on different nights of the week. Check for whats going on, some night s like Thursdays are " Thirsty Thursday's" and its two for one drinks.

We stopped in early to purchase birthday gifts for our family. They happily opened the gift shop for us. Everyone at the stadium was friendly. A family friendly environment and very affordable.

We went with some friends to this tried and true ball game. I love the home town feel, and the effort put forth to include our community. The ball players are always up for pictures with kids and fans alike. Nice bar that has a clubhouse feel to it. Please never close this historical stadium down.
