My wife loved it in this park. Lovely shade trees. Many vagrant or homeless people hanging around made me a bit uncomfortable, but didn't bother my wife.

A nice park that shows what happened many years ago when a flash flood came through the area and totally wiped out the main street in Silver City. It is amazing to see what the force of Mother Nature can do.

Pleasant walk in a former drainage Ditch! The name doesn't make it sound like much, but meander here after lunch in Silver city for a pleasant walk.

In the colder months, you don't have the crime problems that others mentioned. It's pretty quiet. The fact that it used to be the Main St. is pretty amazing.

a nice walkabout gives you the story of floods wiping out everything on Main Street except one house. That street is now a canyon lined with walking trails and picnic tables at the College street end

I was sitting in the park when 2 officers walked through. They were tense and one had his hand on his sidearm. I figured it wasn't too good a spot to have stopped to sit and read. Got out of here quick.

This park resulted from a flood that wiped away a good part of old Main Street. The park is an elevated walkway overlooking a now quiet stream with a canopy of trees providing much appreciated coolness in the hot summer temperatures. This is a good place to visit in the daytime -- rumors of homeless, vagrants residing there at night.
