The tram was a really cool experience. It was good to look down on the town from so high up. We also rode the life up to the top and took some great pictures. While we were there we also went to the animal encounters and saw several bears.

This was closed while we were there and there was no notice that it was and no signs saying it was closed or when it would be open again. We walked all the way down there to find the doors locked.

Nice trip for the family from the streets of Gatlinburg up to Ober Gatlinburg, you can choose to drive up Ski Mountain Road, but do yourself a favor and spend a few bucks and take the tram instead, We are glad we did. And take the kids on the Alpine Slide once you are up there.

This is a good activity to do while in Gatlinburg. Wonderful views from the top of the mountain. I just wish there was a bit more to do after you get to Ober Gatlinburg.

I researched all activities long before going on our vacation. When we arrived to the tram, tickets were $12 per person instead of the $7 it quoted online. The tramway ride was very nice and the operators were chatty and informative about the sights. Once at the top, we were disappointed to find the facilities a bit rundown and very carnival-like. Attractions cost extra and with the tramway a bit pricy, the extra charges for everything up there was a disappointment. We didn't stay long.

The views were amazing, it's a must in the fall when the leaves are changing, or just anytime, because the mt views are something to behold!

We didn't know what to expect, but the ride was fun, and when we got to the top there was snow tubing!! The kids had so much fun. For warmer weather there are water slides and some other kind of mountain sliding that looked pretty fun.
