What a great experience! The zookeepers here are really helpful and informative. The animals seem pretty happy, my favorite is the baby orangutan! We stayed the night in the zoo-it was incredible. At night you can hear the lions roar and it feels like you're in Africa! (Kinda scary, too!) We took a nighttime walk around the park then a... More

we really enjoyed our visit to the zoo.. great animals and a very nice location.. our only complaint was it was end of school field trip day and a more than a few groups of students were unruly and rude.. being disruptive to wildlife and generally loud..

As someone who moved to NOLA after living in San Diego, this zoo is not all that impressive, but still a fun day out for families with small children. Many of the exhibits are small, but still well maintained and the majority of the animals look happy and healthy. The food inside the zoo is just awful and they can... More

We bought the Audobon pass for the Zoo, Aquarium, Insectarium and Imax. The price is reasonable, but they charge you again to use the train and see the dinosaur exhibit. While the animitronics at the dino exhibit were neat, it may not be worth paying the extra. The train was crowded with a long wait just to get on it.... More

The zoo was awesome! Not a lot of shade though so wear your sun block! The best part was the elephants! You are so incredibly close to them it was really great to watch! A really decent price for a zoo admission too! I think we paid around 17$ it's about a 25$ cab ride from bourbon street. Located right... More

We went in the middle of the week and didn't have to stand in any lines. Beware, you see the playground at the beginning so once our child saw that they didn't really care about the animals. Bought an armband for the carousel, train, dinosaur world. Worth the purchase. Dinosaur exhibit is a little cheesy and short.

The highlight of the Audubon Zoo experience is, after walking and experiencing the animal attractions, to find yourself at the Louisiana Swamp area with the sights, sounds, and smells of Southern Louisiana. It is by itself the best attraction at the zoo but the visit isn't complete unless you also plan a meal in the restaurant there. The fried catfish... More

I liked that the zoo was clean, public transit is nearby, and the swamp exhibit is actually interesting even if it is basic. I did not like that the price was $17.50 per adult and there is not even that many animals.

We went to the aquarium and the zoo, the aquarium had a lot fewer exhibits than the last time we were there, the zoo was very disappointing, the staff were rude, unhelpful, the price of admission was expensive, and then once inside you had to pay again for the train, the dinosaur exhibit, the carousel, and the splash zone. The cafes...
