I am from the Chicago area and we have two very nice zoos here but I was very impressed with the Audubon Zoo! During a recent conference in New Orleans I visited many of the French Quarter sites. My daughter suggested going to the zoo which was over 6 miles away. We purchased a $3 day bus ticket and headed out. It turned out to be the best time we spent together. The zoo is beautiful and lush with mature trees and foliage.... More

My only problem is the areas are very far apart. The zoo is huge and there is lots to see. I suggest going early and planning to stay the whole day. It has a water park and lots of animal u won't see at the average zoo. More

Great zoo al around. Does have some separate attractions that are an additional charge - look it up in advance so you won't be surprised. Well designed, easy to navigate and tons of fun! More

Some animals we couldn't find in the cages. The cafeteria had a nice variety for lunch. The best deal is to get the full experience of the 4... More

Lots to see and a really beautiful zoo. One of the best I've seen for the decor and the atmosphere. Worth every penny! More

Saw the gorilla and spider monkey presentations--very informative. The reptile house was a treat with the variety of snakes, lizards, and frogs (loved the colored poison dart frogs). Lovely and inviting grounds, too. More
