If visiting New Orleans gets you a bit tired (and let's be honest, it should,) then there's no better way to spend a relaxing afternoon than at Audubon Park. Even if you don't make it all the way to the zoo, the people-watching and bird-watching will be more than enough to entertain you on your leisurely stroll around the park.

A 1.8 mile paved well-shaded path provides a beautiful respite from city life. Take the path around the zoo to access the riverview park (the Fly) to stroll along the levee and see the river.

The park was an end destination for our St. Charles streetcar ride. We walked around there briefly - enjoyed the beautiful grounds and seeing Tulane and Loyola Universities.

A great place for a quiet walk or picnic lunch. Beautiful flowers and magnificent old trees. We were there on a Wed. late morning and had the park almost to ourselves!

Take the St Charles tram then wonder through the green well cared for park, it even has a golf course in the center, we could not find a cafe but there are plenty of benches to relax and watch the world go by, there are some lovely big houses surrounding the park, great walks in the park and surrounding area.

This is what a park is meant to be. There's a large running/biking/walking path, plenty of grass to picnic on, ducks, and some interesting sculptures. Great place for a workout or just to get some fresh air.

In a charming neighborhood near Loyola University is a beautiful and charming park. This park has so much going for it…gorgeous large shade trees, a stream, golf course, statues, act… Just gorgeous and the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors even if the temperature is hot out, you will find cool shade and easy bike path to romp and roll!

Interesting and pleasant stop on our tour. There is the little restaurant to refresh yourselves and then the entire grounds to roam around. Looked like you could enjoy a picnic. We did not have time for the museum, but would like to go back.
