This was a fantastic way to get close to nature. In the bird encounter you are right in with the birds, another area has a touch tank, and you can view the seals and sea lion from both above and below the water. The harbor seals were my favorites. There is a lot of informative and educational signage. The facility... More

My husband and I decided to do the marine mammal tour and got to pet a seal....she was the cutest little thing... We got to go in the back and see how the operation is run, seals and sea lions that are rescued, babies.... The tour was definitely worth it 100%. Plus I feel good that the money is going... More

The displays and exhibits are great. You can touch star fishes and anemones. You can see marine animals outside that are being helped and rehabbed by the center. Great location right on Resurrection Bay.

Great interactive exhibits, touch tank, and displays of fish, seabirds, invertebrates, seal & sea lion. Octopus fanning her eggs was pretty mesmerizing. Birders will love seeing the red legged kittiwake, eiders, puffins, & murres. Staff was friendly & knowledgeable. Kids there on a field trip were having a blast.

Ask for the Alaska resident discount if you have ID. The center seems geared towards families and kids but my husband and I enjoys ourselves. Lots of interesting information. I especially liked the touch pools and the bird area. A good place to spend a couple hours.

We took our two year old here for the day and he loved it. Some of the windows were a little dirty making it hard to see some of the animals (but I imagine it'd be hard to keep the inside of an aquatic cage clean all the time), but this was just the outside tanks. It's a little spendy,... More

My husband and me spent nearly 3 hours in this wonderful and informative exhibition. The exhibits at the Alaska SeaLife Center let the visitors immerse in Alaskan marine ecosystems and let them watch animals in naturalistic habitats. They understand their mission to share their knowledge to promote our understanding and stewardship of Alaska’s marine ecosystem. One of my favorites exhibits... More

We really enjoyed our trip to the Seward area and the Sealife center. It is a beautiful aquarium with lots of fun exhibits and interactive things that you can pay extra to do. The main street is fun to shop at also. Kenai Fjords boat tours are a must.

My wife and I toured the Sealife Center in Seward and paid the extra money to do the seabird encounter. We basically got a "backstage" tour of the facility and a chance to feed the puffins, auklets, common murres, and other seabirds. It was a really nice up-close, hands-on experience to remember. We spent about 1.5 hours at the center,... More

Love to go! Nice people, always interesting and fun to see the wild sea life tenants! My hubby's birthday and the gift shop had fun t-shirts and cookbooks that we couldn't pass up. Wish the wind would have died down, Seward was a bit breezy.
