Centrally located, just a few minutes away from downtown, Safeco Field is a great ballpark. Beautiful field with the city of Seattle in the background.
Having a preference for intimate ballparks, Safeco Field seemed much too big. Retractable roof is a good idea for a place that has lots of rain but it added to the feeling of sitting in a monstrosity.
I've been to many MLB stadiums across the country: PNC, Wriggly, Busch (the current and the one before), and many more and I'd say Safeco is one of the best. Great sightlines throughout the stadium. Good food. Fun atmosphere (if the Mariners are winning). Just make sure you bring a jacket, it gets cold on the waterfront in the evenings.
The Mariners WON!!!!! Great place for a game and we got great seats too, right behind third base. While in Seattle if you get to attend a game definatley go and have a great time.
It was sunny, it was warm, and the Mariners won. Sat in the 'Hit It Here Cafe', seats cost a bit more, but great view of field from right field,... More
Safeco Field is a great ballpark with lots to see, great food, and lots of room to walk around. Go early and give yourself time to see all the sights before you settle in to your seat and catch the game. Well worth the money.
Go Mariners! The stadium isn't the best I've been to, but it's still a ball park, so you can't go wrong. Sitting in the bleacher section is the most economic route and you still get great views of the game.
Our tourguide Booby loves his job. He is retired Navy and you can feel his love for the game and the Mariners. We had a great behind the scences tour. I wish we had a stadium like Safeco in Tampa!!
Even though I didn't get to see my hometown boys (Cubs), going to this stadium was a nice change of pace. Very interesting stadium with the way the roof can slide over the field. Regular ballpark food, but you might want to walk through the area just north of the stadium before the game for souvenirs and food that is... More
