The Lincoln Memorial was very impressive. No tours were given here, which is unfortunate since stories of moving Lincoln's body are so interesting. However it's a beautiful cemetery. And of course, you need rub the nose on Lincoln's statue for luck.

Beautiful cemetery that is home to one of our best presidents. Plan to leave time to either take a walk or drive through this large cemetery. WWII, Korean War, & Vietnam War memorials are here, too!

We could not tour the tomb as it was not yet open for the season, but the grounds are beautiful and the monument is very moving.

We went to see Lincoln's Tomb very early on a Sunday and there was NO ONE there. It was wonderful. We could read the plaques and take photos of everything quite easily. The monument is really terrific and rather daunting to think about the magnificence of our 16th President. Make this part of your Springfield visit.
