This beach was very close to our condo in Maui. It has parking and nice facilities (showers, restrooms). It was not over crowded at all. Very blue and very clear waters. There were very gentle waves and some coral reefs that are full of life. We brought snorkel gear and had a nice time exploring. It also wasn't too windy... More

We visited Ulua on a windy Sunday afternoon and walked from the Marriott where we were staying. It was a bit crowded. The winds were stirring up a lot of sand so the water along the shore was sand-filled. Two from our group really enjoyed the underwater view by the rocks. I'm thinking our experience would have been very different... More

New hotel/condo complex construction can be noisy and dirty. Access by vehicle is sometimes blocked. On the other hand, the new parking area expanded the number of spaces available and the restroom and shower facilities are convenient. Beach path begins nearby and extends to Polo Beach in the south.

Nice area once you get there. If you can figure out how to get there, the parking is slim. Great facilities. The only problem I found was with the rocks out in the water. They can't be helped, but you can hurt a toe just playing around.

This is a small beautiful beach to swim or snorkel. Very calm the day we were there in May. I snorkeled an hour - the time just flew there was so much to see. I recommend the left side, many fish and I was lucky enough to spot a turtle. The right side had several divers doing practice so had... More

Small but gorgeous beach near the Marriott in Wailea. I was here once in the winter when the water was very calm and you could snorkel. More waves on this trip. Great for swimming, jogging, view.

This beach is smaller than most of the others and it has its own charm, it is so nice to sit or swim without the crowds.

I have snorkeled all over the world, and would put this spot near the top of my list because of the wide diversity of sea life and the terrific info site sponsored by the Pacific Whale Foundation. We saw turtles, manta rays, eels, starfish, and even a devil scorpionfish! I was able to identify the latter because Amber, a Pacific... More

Good place for beginners to snorkel. Clean and not much current. A lot of fish around the rocks and so enjoyable to watch them!
