We paid $7 each for this visit. But not many flowers except roses. Not sure if this is a public place. If this is a private establishment, it deserved some better management. My wife thought we wasted our money, but we just killed a couple hours to walk around. Maybe there is a better time to visit this place.

We almost missed this lovely spot and had a hard time finding it due to construction. They have a wonderful rose garden, various TX habitats, a butterfly are and wonderful walking trails. Unfortunately we had just a couple of hours and I think it would take most of a day to really see everything.

Whoever prepared the brochure for this attraction did an excellent job as it enticed me to want to visit. Maybe I had the wrong time of year, but other than the butterfly garden I really saw little of interest. I had just seen stunning wildflower displays in the Hill Country for free so expected much from a botanical garden. Although... More

A nice variety of things to see. A nice nature walk. We really liked the butterfly house. Kids would enjoy a visit here as well.

Due to the dry season we have had, the small lake had pretty much dried up but still found the elusive gator. Lots of birds to see too. Nice trails and friendly staff. Were the 1st ones there and they opened early for us.

Probably the worst kept Botanical Gardens I have ever visited on this planet - complete rip off with zero value for money

My mother and I met at the South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center to spend what we thought would be about an hour wandering around. We were certainly surprised when we did not get back into our cars until 3 hours later. We had a wonderful time and the entrance fee was exceptionally reasonable. The grounds were so clean,... More

I have been to several botanical gardens, including the Japanese Tea Gardens in San Fransisco, the Dallas Arboretum, and the botanical gardens in Austin. Compared to all of those, this garden center feels like something you'd expect in a small hick town. You can see the entire thing in less than an hour, and that's if you're walking slow. Don't...
