This was a small fun place to stop and pick up a t-shirt and see some Texas surfing history. It's right next to the Water Street restaurant. You can also see the walk of fame just outside, with various corpus music legends, ie Freddy Fender, Selena, etc.

This is one of those things that's ok to do if you're already in the area. It's about the size of one large room, with lots of educational things about the history of surfing, such as the evolution of the surfboard, different kinds of surfboards today, and pictures and information about different people who made their mark in surfing history.... The museum is a backroom of a retail shop. Not very large but did have quite a collection of surfboards and stories about surfers and surfing in Texas. If you are in the area it is worth dropping into.

Great t-shirts and music. A bit eclectic and we didn't even spend time really checking out the museum.

You don't think of Texas when surfing is mentioned. This 'museum' is more like the owner's personal collection of surfboards (at least 50)and memorabilia, but still quite interesting. It's in the back of a record/souvenir shop, tucked behind a restaurant. No charge and you can see everything in about 15-20 mins; longer if you want to read the histories of... More

This was a pretty neat place to check out. It's free and interesting. I'm not into surfing but the point of going to a new place is to experience new things so we checked it out. It's a small shop/museum but there are some pretty cool boards and pictures to check out.

I did not even know this museum existed!!! Very interesting - all of the boards displayed are magnificent!!! And the display showing the surf classes for persons with disabilities was very touching. I am always appreciative to see when athletes create opportunities to share their sport with persons with disabilities.

The museum is small but it is also free. It had a lot of cook looking surfboards and was a nice pit stop on our way to dinner.
