Finished building in 1797, it is the oldest European building of the State. Was Jesuit than Franciscan. Only 10 miles from downtown. It feels like you are transported back in Spain! More

We have been able to visit 10 or 11 of the old missions, and while many are the same, this was the first and only one we had seen in Arizona. It was lovely, the grounds manicured to perfection, the gift shop left a bit to be desired. Clean restrooms, and great staff and volunteers. More

The mission is beautiful. The small museum is interesting, and the chapel has lovely stained glass. Native American tribes sell Indian fry bread nearby, and there's a string of gift shops nearby too. This is pretty close to the Desert Museum, it would be easy to swing by after a visit. More

This is the oldest church in America, established in 1692. Inside, it approaches Roccoco with it's ornate decorations. The grounds are lovely, and in the square, the local Indians sell food, jewelry and other things. An easy ride from the freeway, this is a good thing to do on a day when you have visited south of Tucson and are... More

Short drive from town to the reservation. The Mission is as beautiful as a 200 to 300 year old mission can be. Very interesting and under repair as I write. It was amazing that all of the visitors when we were there seemed to be very respectful of the fact that they were in a church More

We went here before going to Pima Air and Space Museum as it is located near. Impressive building both inside and out. Don't need longer than an hour here. More
