My girlfriends and I thoroughly enjoyed our ghostly carriage ride. Our guide, Spike, was very knowledgeable about the local ghosts. He was friendly and personable. Ask for him as your guide if you come to San Antonio.

This tour is very romantic if you go at night and take the extended tour around the King William Area. Yes, it is expensive (about $200 for an hour plus tip to the driver), but you really get to see some beautiful historic homes in the old neighborhood. The driver did not give a tour...she asked if we wanted one...

If I didn't have my 8 year old daughter along it would have been terrible. She loved riding in the carriage. The tour was $40 for 20 minutes. Most of the time you were looking at vacant buildings and homeless people. The tour mainly consisted of stories about ghost. Don't really believe in ghosts so that is worthless to us....

We have ridden the horse drawn carriages several times and we live in San Antonio. We enjoy the horse drawn carriage rides downtown San Antonio because it is romantic and informative because the drivers tell you about the buildings and ghosts. If you're downtown San Antonio you should definitely check them out by the Alamo. http://www.bluebonnetcarriage.com/
