I didn't realize that this was a man made cave until after purchasing the tickets, but despite this I still enjoyed myself on the tour. The cave has been purpose built to allow for breeding of the glow worms who are threatened by tourism in the local parks. Having the climate controlled environment allows you to see the glow worms... Not sure what I had expected but it was certainly dark! They make you wear small glowing necklaces so you can see another person in front of you. The worms glowed away happily and it seemed we were quickly ushered through but it could have been because we were on an organized tour and had limited time. The tour guide... More

Didn't realise that it was a man made cave, very small, short walk through. Boring and very disappointing. Come on you can't charge people $11 for that. People with young kids were ask to leave when the kids got upset because it was dark, so they paid $11 to watch a boring DVD.

Price is decent, tour was a little shorter than i thought it would be but overall the tour guide knew his stuff and made it interesting. Still great to be led through a pitch dark man made cave and see thousands of little glowing lights around you....

We did not realise until we were inside the "cave" that this is a man-made cave and glow worm colony. It might be a nice place to stop and have lunch, as it is in the middle of a forest, however I would not bother spending the $11 to walk into an artificial cave, watch a 6 minute video about... More

A half hour tour that's not bad for the price. The tour guide I had was very warm and friendly, without being over the top or seemingly fake. He made a point to address everyone in the (large) group and make sure each person got enough time at the various stopping points. It was a well-run program that obviously is... More

We went to the "cave" on 21/04/13 because we thought it would be something fun for the whole family. Instead, we were treated to a 30 minute plug for global warming and a 20m walk through a "glow worm" (they're actually maggots) filled tunnel. We should have done a bit more research, as we wouldn't have gone there if we'd... More

The cave was man made, but video presentation well done and you did get to be very close to the glow worms and their amazing system for trapping food. Enjoyable visit

Was very informative and worth a look. We had crying babies and a whining teenager in our group which was distracting from the beauty of the cave.
