I felt unwelcome in these gardens. There are many places where visitors are forbidden to enter or to walk- even the kitchen garden is out of bounds. The White Garden is beautiful and in places they've done interesting things with perspective by sheering bushes to different sizes, but there's little feeling of warmth or life in the garden.

These gardens are beautiful and very tranquil, I thought the nursery plots were very good showing how topiary starts. and in parts very like Sissinghurst. Wow!!!

A very interesting garden to visit with a long history. Not the sort of place created by weekend gardening with 5 full time gardeners clipping and weeding non stop.
