actually we only went to the Maritime Museum because it started raining. But now I'm so glad we went! There was obviously much thought and care put into choosing and placing the exhibits. The museum is not to big or repetitive and you get a very good overview of Macau's (maritime) history. Every piece has a short English description and... More

A cool place to get some history about the island. The models are nice, and the location is convenient as well. More

This is an excellent museum with beautiful reproductions of ships and very clear and good explanations of the maritime history of Macau. It's just across from the A Ma Temple and some very good Portuguese restaurants so is perfect for a morning or afternoon visit. More

the museum is one of the bigger museums in macau. They don't have a lot of exhibits compared to those in say, australia, etc. however, i must commend on their efforts to curate displays. definitely one of the more interesting maritime museums i've been. some windows oversee the sea and the hill. This museum contains some fairly interesting relica ships, but I couldn't relax and enjoy it because I almost failed the temperature check that they do on all visitors (due, presumably, to swine flu paranoia) - they check your temperature right after you enter from the unshaded square outside, so of course some people will be very hot, don't worry though,...
