I visited shine of Hazrat Ali (or Blue Mosque) at Mazar-e Sharif in Nov 2006 and May 2009. Both visits were very pleasant: it is very well restored complex, dated back to 15th century. Quite similar to famous Samarkand complex architecture. But while Samarkand has a lot of tourists, Mazar-e Sharif is mostly the religious destination of Afghan families. While... More
