Samana is a little local village (3 rd largest on the Samana Peninsula). A half dozen tourist shops, the rest is stores for locals. Fun if you want to see the real people. The Malecon is just the "waterfront walk". The walk is run down, the views are amazing. Across the local bay is the Bahia Principe Grand Cacayo. The beach in front is public.

On the road to Bacardi Island there is a seeside/beachside called Malacon. Nice view to the all of harbour. It was too early to be a bit more life there and almost have catched the sunrise...maybe next time :)

On a weekend night, there is no better place to be. Sit back and enjoy the food and the music and you'll surely want to come back soon.

The view of the bay is beautiful with the charm of seeing the dead end bridge. At this time of year most of the kiosks and bars are closed It is a pity that the pavement is so damaged

This is a relaxing place in the morning and afternoon to look out at the bridges and the bay. At night, there are a lot more people around - especially across the street at the clubs. But you can also get decent pizza for a decent price right on the water.

Nice view of the hotel (Grand Bahia) from Malecon and the walkway leading to the island. Lovely to see all the boats docked in the bay

It feels like the whole town come to hang out here around 4 everyday I been here so far. They have people selling food all day long for a very reasonable price (though it may be expensive for the citizens here) there is what seems like a pop up bike rental, a good ice cream shop across the street, and music bands. There are also boat rentals along the pier, pretty chill place with some excellent viewpoints
