"Went here on May 4 which happened to be National Greenery Day so admission was free.
PROS:
Lots of space and beautiful gardens
Easy to get to if you are in Shinjuku
Nice rest stops and facilities
Lots of green and good photo opportunities
The only real con is that since we didn't go in March/Apri..."l, we didn't see any of the cherry blossoms. It would also be nice if it were free all the time :)
If you're feeling a bit burnt out on Tokyo city life this would be a great place to go.

"If you're staying in the Yotsuya area check out the free Fire Museum.
PROS:
Lots of interesting displays and history on firefighting
Can sit in some of the trucks
Can dress up as a firefighter!
Free photo
Cute gift shop
Friendly staff
CONS:
Lots of stairs and slow elevator
The museum is very eas..."y to find; it's right next to the Yotsuya Sanchome subway station.

"There are a lot of great spots to get views of Tokyo (Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Mori Tower), but this one is the best because it's free! It's a bit of a walk from Shinjuku Station but otherwise, isn't too hard to find.
The view is a 360 one and on a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji. It's closed on Tuesda..."ys so don't go on that day :)
