This former government building, an architectural treasure in itself, is now a museum containing some impressive artifacts. Particularly noteworthy is a collection of late 18th and early 19th century Cape furniture.

"We have stayed here twice and when one wants to get away from the heat in February this is the place to go to. Walking on the beach and sitting on the deck of the lovely cottage or braaing in the ever blowing wind - it's all fun. The wine tasting in the area is also worthwhile. Will take our next vis..."itors from The Netherlands here and stay at the old house on the beach - right next to the sea.

"My husband and I and our 6 year old son stayed here one night in October 2012. The complex consists of about 8 individual cabins, a house right down on the water's edge and a caretaker's residence. There is a guard at the entrance of the National Park who checks your booking confirmation etc - so y..."ou do feel secure in such a isolated place.
All accommodation styles have the most amazing views, sunset on the balcony is sublime. The cabins are set up with everything you need, just byo food and vino. The bathroom is quite large, the omnipresent satellite TV in the bedroom. One queen bed and the sofa converts to a bed which is more than adequate for a child. (don't know how comfy it would be for an adult).
Walks along the beach, splash in the rock pool and relax - that's all there is to do. Heaven !

"As per some belief that the ocean meets at Cape Point. This is acually where it all happens. Lots of lovely bird life to be seen and stunning sun rises early in the morning. There is even a Ship wreck that is still visible near the coast line that you can walk out to. Though this is not advised. Lot..."s of places to take pictures and relax and have a picnic. Just no fires.
There is also a very old light house that is busy getting restored at present but is still running. There are shops close by and lovely little coffee shops as well. The local Friendly grocer (7-11) has most of your needs covered.
