"There are a number of restaurants here and they are all trying to get you into their seating so arrival is a bit hectic and pushy. They are polite, though and once you're seated somewhere, it's fine. The beach is clean with reasonable snorkeling. There are also Banada Boat rides and snorkeling guide..."s for hire. You can also rent snorkeling gear and life jackets at the beach. There is no undertow so swimming is safe. Take in the miradors (viewpoints) on the way there as the views are spectacular.

"We went on the raft trip on the calmer run that ends in the Pacific -just the two of us with Stephan and it was great. We have run rivers large and small in several states and in Costa Rica so we knew it was a float trip but it gave us a time to visit with Stephan, a very knowledgeable guide who ha..."s a lot of international experience. The stop at the iguana farm was a unique experience- never thought we could be holding and petting iquanas and it was inspiring to see what a few dedicated people can do without government assistance to help preserve our wildlife.
We saw many different types of birds- a couple that even Stephen had not seen on this run. The small beach community where we ended the trip had cold beer and great guacamole so was a welcome end to a great outing. I highly recommend this trip and hope you are lucky enough to float with Stephan- it was as they say in Costa Rica- Pura Vida!
