We want to share stories with you! Amazing, inspiring, memorable stories which change the way we look at the world. We love folk tales, fairytales, classics and, of course, Shakespeare. You don’t need a theatre building to make great theatre. The magic happens all over Oxford. We seek out places that have never been used for theatre before, and bring them to life. Our shows are beautiful, ugly, fast, furious, wacky, twisted, surprising, spooky, magical, daring, haunting, challenging, inspiring, hilarious, sexy, sassy, cheeky… but never predictable.16 years, 45 shows, 350,000 audience members aged 5-95…we are Oxford’s own Creation Theatre Company.

If you have never discovered Abingdon’s County Hall Museum now is the perfect time as we reopened in July 2012 after a £3 million restoration project. Visit our new galleries and discover why Abingdon is known as ‘the oldest continuously inhabited town in England.’ We welcome visitors of all ages and have a range of gallery guides, trails for families, objects to touch and costumes to try on. The main gallery tells the story of our town where you can see the very last MGB Roadster off the Abingdon factory production line and discover why bun throwing is so significant to the town. Find out more about local people and places in our Abingdon Attic and if you have a head for heights you will enjoy the spectacular views from our roof. You can also visit our welcoming ‘Buns in the Basement’ cafe which serves light lunches and drinks.

"A truly enjoyable walking tour where you learn so much. Although the group was fairly large (24), everyone was involved and kept on their toes!
A must on your to do list when in Oxford area."
"A one-man-show in a bookshop sounds boring, limited and unexciting.
IT WAS EVERYTHING BUT ...
The actors delivery was enthralling, the set used, as always by Creation, for best effect. Suddenly, you can be on the scary night-time streets of 19th century London and be looking over shoulder if some..."one is following when actually you are in Blackwell'sNorington room, in the philosophy section. How appropriate!
The performance lasts just one hour, but this is more than sufficient time when you dare not take a breath

"Designed by Sir Christopher Wren in the 1640s the Sheldonian Theatre is owned by Oxford University and is the main venue for classical music concerts in Oxford. It holds around 850 on a full house and the stage is on floor level with about 30 individual chairs for the audience. The other seating is ..."tiered and all have a good view unlike some of the other concert venues in Oxford. I went to a Britten Tribute recently which was very good and conducted by Oxford University's John Traill. He is also conducting Oxford Proms concerts this August with some great soloists including Michael Collins playing the Mozart Clarinet Concerto and I am looking forwards to that.
The seats are usually priced in 4 bands. The top two pricewise are worth booking as the seats are padded with backrests. For the Oxford Proms concerts age 7-17 tickets are free with adult purchase.
