"I have visited the lighthouse area on numerous occasions and it never fails to impress with its natural stunning beauty. A visit to the Lighthouse alas is not the for the feint hearted as there are over 400 steps leading to a causeway bridge to negotiate so thats over 400 down and then again back bu..."t well worth a visit as its a great attraction and the charge is well worth the money. The staff are very helpful and a great source of knowledge about the area and its history. There is a tour of the engine house and a exhibition centre on South Stack. The Lighthouse gives great sea views and stunning views of near by sea stacks and cliffs and you can get up an personal to a varied bird population you may even see a rare Chough or the clown like Puffin which often comes in early June.

"Really enjoyed my visit to Ellins Tower found it to be a popular attraction with nearby car parking.
This is a Free attraction and is manned by volunteers from the RSPB who were very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The tower gives you great views of the sea stacks and cliffs ledges with its ab..."undance of bird life. This is also a great place see nesting birds with their chicks as you see the images from cameras that the RSPB have located around the cliffs and sea stacks. There are also high powered binoculars and spotters that you can use free of charge to take a look at the visiting bird population. i was lucky enough to see a rare Chough and as it was in early June saw the puffins. Our visit was just as a Couple but this is a must see if you have young children there were a few there and they were so excited at seeing the Birds.

"Very helpful friendly staff and birds who knew how to get hearts racing by flying right overhead and giving wonderful displays.
An excellent visit - if a little too windy!"
