"Fuerth Stadtpark is lush and green and well kept. Near the entrance there is a founain and lots of flower beds, toward the east it is a more natural ambient with plenty of meadows for resting or sports.
Most recommendable is the walk along the Pegnitz which will take you right to the center of Nur..."emberg (about 90 minutes when walking slow).

"Housed in what was once a Jewish Residence built in 1702 hence the Mikevh & Sukkah, this fascinating museum tells the history of the Jewish Community in Furth , one of 3 Jewish Museums in the Franconia Jewish Museum of Southern Bavaria , all being located near to Nuremberg.
The Director is an A..."merican who saw the benefit of having most of the information in all the rooms translated into English.
Objects from daily life, rituals.documents & videos give a great understanding of the time.
When I visited, a large exhibition of illustrations by Jewish children/teenagers from the area gave their impressions of then & now of buildings & life.
A fascinating insight.

"Located right in the center of Fürth the small museum is easy to find.
Fürth has a rich history and is often overshadowed by the mighty neighbor Nuremberg. The Jewish community was of much more than local significance and is inseparably interwoven with the histoy of the town.
The museum offers ins..."ight into Jewish traditions (most impressive is the ritual bath and the Sukkah), it displays religious art and it informs about the history of the community.
The architectural design manages to successfully connect old and new structures and the caffe and book shop on the ground floor deserve special mention.

here you can book a guided tour that will take you to the historic locations of the jewish community. I strongly recommend combining this tour with a visit to the museum. The people at the tourist office are most friendly and helpful.
