  "I have known of Loro Parque for years, since it was set up in the 1970s as a parrot breeding establishment. Whilst I bemoan the way the Parque has developed, with Orcas, dolphins, gorillas, chimps and parrot shows, I recognise that these things are necessary to bring in the tourists and the money. ..." But for me, the great attraction is still the parrots, most of which are on display in good sized aviaries and kept in pairs to encourage breeding.
