"No cars allowed within the village. It has an officially "preserved" status, meaning no modern buildings and those either newly built or even renovated have to observe strict, traditional guidelines within the character of the region and Amorgos specifically. Charming, welcoming and warm atmosphere...". Low-keyed, i.e. no dance clubs but more intimate cafe/bars with great music and some dancing. Some traditional "fiestas" celebrated in the public square of "Loza" with traditional music, food and dance--jam packed and boisterous fun.

"I referred to Nikolas for my first dive (ever). He is extremely knowledgeable of technical and non-technical aspects of diving, by that I mean that his approach takes into account all aspects of preparation as well as confort and well being before the dive and during the dive. I think that he can re..."ally make a difference, especially for people who are new to the discipline and worried about going under water.
The possibilities offered by the island of Amorgos are infinite, so I'd say: respect the sea, trust your expert guide, and you shall see the most amazing things nature can offer.

Then there is the unexpected experience of having to dress up, no bare shoulders and woman must wear a skirt and men trousers, luckily there are dresses, skirts, scarves and pants tied to the fence in front of the entrance which one can borrow. It was amusing to see tourist putting large mom jeans over their hiking shorts and woman pulling up long hippie skirts or wrapping large scarves around their waist. If you don't fancy wearing strangers' clothing d...
