North of Copenhagen, the Ordrupgaard Museum is home to an impressive collection of Danish and French art from the 1800s and early 1900s. Its grounds include an extension that sports the architecture of Zaha Hadi. On weekends, visitors can look in on the former home of furniture designer Finn Juhl. Open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 1-5 p.m.; Wednesday, 1-7 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and national holidays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

The permanent exhibition shows the enthralling history of communications since the establishment of the royal Danish postal service by King Christian the Fourth in 1624.
