A guided tour of Mustad’s fantastic industrial history! Gjovik is home to one of Norway’s most exciting industrial adventures, which began as early as 1832. Mustad has manufactured a wide range of products through the years, including horseshoe nails, nails, screws, paperclips, exclusive cast iron stoves, all kinds of needles, food products, line fishing equipment and last but not least, fishhooks, which is what most people associate Mustad with today. By visiting Mustad’s exciting industrial museum in Mustad Business Park you will gain a fascinating insight into the production of these goods. The museum is open to groups all year by appointment only. It also offers a guided tour of the present fishhook production plant. Mustad Opplevelser also provides lunch at Café Kroken as part of a package. The cost of the complete package is NOK 225 per person. Lunch can also be served at the venerable manor Brusveen Gard by appointment only. The museum is open to individual visitors during the summer season, 27 June – 5 August, Mon-Fri 11 – 14. Entry: Adults NOK 50, free for children under 16. Café Kroken, with its open-air terrace on the river Hunnselva, is also open to visitors.
