The winery is located in a beautiful area, so we really enjoyed the drive. The staff was very friendly, and welcomed us with a glass of sparkling wine while..." we waited for the tour to begin. The weather was bad, so our tour wasn't exactly as planned, but the alternate arrangements were still enjoyable. It was very interesting to learn a little about the differences between Italian and US winemaking. The lunch was delicious - we each chose different dishes for each course, so we could taste a little of everything. All of the dishes were very good. The gnocchi was the best we had during our 24 day visit to Italy. The wines that accompanied the dishes were also very good. The waiters pour generously, and come back to refill as needed.
