"We pre-booked a visit to the Nature Pavilion through our travel agent in the UK & were pleased to find out that we'd landed the 6.00am slot. When we arrived we were met by David (the owner) and had the next hour to ourselves ... just David Jnr acting as our guide ... no other visitors - although hi..."s father (David Snr) joined us too, so a guide each. In that hour we saw 20 'new' species of birds, and lots of others we'd seen earlier in our trip. It's impossible to select a highlight, but the hummingbirds on the deck that looks out at the back of the pavilion, towards the river, were certainly special. The Davis' knowledge of the birdlife (& patience with us) was outstanding & they are to be thanked for the time they devoted to two beginners. Many Thanks. We can't wait to return.

"This place is incredible, it's really amazing! It's just you and the nature, all the wonderful tropical jungle is around you. The tents make you feel magical, the beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are separate but still in the same room. Also their different activities to do in the place...." The food is really good, but kind of expensive.

"We visited the plantation as part of a Spring Break trip. It was an excellent tour. Our guide, Miguel, taught us all about how pineapple is grown and harvested. He was friendly and animated, and able to answer all of our questions. We were familiar with the Collin Street Bakery, the plantation o..."wner, as we purchase their delicious fruitcakes every year at Christmas. We were extremely impressed with the ecological and organic processes used at the plantation. Nothing is wasted. The company treats its employees well, which is also important to us. On the tour, we were treated to "just picked" samplings of the best pineapple we've ever tasted. And at the end, we received fresh virgin pina coladas served in pineapples, as well as slices of their fabulous fruitcake. A trip to Costa Rica wouldn't be complete without visiting the Finca Corsicana.
