"Our guide pointed out changes to the point from the cyclones over the years. The red of the point is like a child chose the colour. We saw fantastic giant manta rays skimming below the surface of the water, like large black birds dancing on thermals under the water. The grace and elegance was som..."ething to behold. How anyone who is not used to the driving conditions gets to the point in a car is beyond me. A bus or car coming the other way can make it hairy, depending on the day.

"This is the best and most focussed regional museum I have ever visited. It gives you an insight into the history and culture as well as referencing the Aboriginal people and the migrants to the area. It was a little challenging to see "old fashioned" things that I remember from my childhood. We co..."nsoled ourselves that it is different if you are from the country.

"Well worth the trip. Lovely water, great temperature for our son who has not enough body fat to keep him warm in the surf normally. It was not crowded. I could swim and stretch out without worrying about bumping into other swimmers. "
