"Being a regular to this place l do this walk every couple of months and more in the summer.
I don't bother doing just one way and really enjoy the workout so it's both ways for me.
You can park a car at both ends when you are with friends as one way seems to be enough for most people and l think i..."t's about 10km one way and you need to be fairly fit for this as there is a lot of climbing steps. There are seats to sit on and some great photo opportunities to be had so when the sign says to a lookout or the like make sure you see all of them, especially where the huge slip was.
The start from the Ashhurst end has toilets now and the walk along by the barriers down the stairs and following the stream is fantastic,be very careful with parking your cars and don't leave anything of value in them not even out of site.

"I go to Cinema Gold with the "oldies" twice a month and have not been disappointed in any of the movies I've seen. This time I saw Performance and as I am a classical music buff, I enjoyed it very much. It showed a smidgen of the onset of Parkinson's Disease and how relationships within groups can..." interfere with the status quo. I did enjoy it and am looking forward to Song for Marion next week. This has not been well reviewed in our local paper so I am going to see what I think.

"George and I went to this Show last Friday night and sat in Row C in the middle, so we didn't miss seeing or hearing a thing. It was a well written show by one of our NZ actors/director/playwright Alison Quigan and well up to her usual standard. The language was strong but not offensive to us anyw..."ay and the actors and scene changes were all first class. George is rather difficult to please at times with live theatre, but he marked this one very good (and that's top for him).
