Cristal blue Indian Ocean tropical paradisial island hopping experience, off the beaten track, sailing catamaran supported guided kayak tours of the Quirimbas Archipelago, North Mozambique. Visit up to 7 islands, like Ibo island, situated in or close to the Quirimbas National Park (WWF). Kayak on very stable double or single sea kayaks always only a radio call away from our catamaran equipped with tender propelled by a 15hp outboard. No contest, no other sea kayak tours like ours. We live aboard our Mocotur sailing catamaran the ideal gunkholing yacht with only 90cm draught and a 5 meter beam. Once anchored we enjoy taking a single or double kayak out to the closest island or into the nearest mangroves lined river. The late afternoon is the typical time we can obtain fresh seafood from passing fishermen who go out in their little canoes to fish. We enjoy these crystal blue living coral reefed waters so much it would be a great shame not to share these unique moments of deep sensual marine environment experiences. This environment doesn't tolerate bringing masses of tourists thus we only sneak, with maximum 4 guests at a time, extremely respectfully around this marine paradise.

"I've made the walking tour with IVERCA, the association that created this activity.
The tour was surprisingly well organized. Each stoppage had very interesting stories behind and our guide Samuel told them all in a very informative, enlightening and, at the same time funny and easygoing way. I ha..."d visited Maputo several times before and I couldn't imagine how many surprises could be hidden just a little bit away from the city center. After the 2 to 3 hours that the tour takes, you'll know much more about Mozambican culture, history, personalities and traditions.
IVERCA's objectives with these tours are to create jobs for the residents, to improve the conditions of the neighbourhood and to stimulate the investment in Mafalala. I felt every cent was well used.
To organize your visit, just look for IVERCA webpage http://www.iverca.org/ and give them a call.
And if you are a bit concerned about safety, don't be! All the people that we met were very welcoming and we felt comfortable a...
