At the Daughters Visitor Centre, visitors can gain insight into the endemic of trafficking that is ravaging Cambodia while learning more about what Daughters is doing to stop it. Moreover, visitors can actually participate in our work by frequenting one of the three social enterprise businesses housed at the Visitor Centre — our fair-trade shop, cafe or women's spa — all of which provide former victims of trafficking with the vital income and skills to build thriving lives for themselves outside the horrors of the sex industry. If you have a large party, please call ahead of time to allow us to better accommodate you. « less

Animals rescued are released back into the wild whenever possible or they are given a home at the Wildlife Rescue Center for as long as needed. With Asian elephants, tigers, Pileated gibbons, Siamese crocodiles, Malayan sun bears, and many others, many of the species are listed as Endangered or Vulnerable by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The largest zoo in Cambodia, Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center (PTWRC) was established in 1995. Since 2001, PTWRC has been run by the Cambodian Forestry Administration in partnership with Wildlife Alliance. Wildlife Alliance animal husbandry specialists, veterinarians, and care takers assist in the feeding and care of animals and operations at this government-run facility set over 6,000 acres of protected regenerating forest. Other NGOs are involved in PTWRC by providing care for specific animals (Free the Bears, Fauna & Flora International, Conservation International). PTWRC is located 40 km (25 mi) south of Phnom Penh and is doable in a day trip. The tour can be visited independently, through Interactive Wildlife Tours with Wildlife Alliance (to raise money for the rescue, care & release of elephants, tigers and other wildlife), through bear keeper visits or volunteering with Free the Bears (to raise money for bear care) or with independent tour operators. « less
