"The ice sculptures are amazing, even better than we were expecting. We didn't have to queue for tickets too long, but maybe we were just lucky. Our biggest mistake was not buying proper warm shoes to wear. We bought warm clothes, but our feet were freezing. So I strongly recommend buying some warm c..."lothes and shoes so you can fully enjoy the experience. We just popped into one of the tents and bought something so we could sit by their heaters and thaw out... There's lots of fun to be had around the park though.. Some cool slides and little tricycles you can ride on the ice. Definitely worth a visit...

The park is located on the north bank of the Songhua River about 1 hour drive by taxi outside Harbin. It is the largest natural park for wild Siberian tigers in the wo..."rld at present. There are over 500 Siberian tigers here and you can really see them up close from your bus and take same fantastic photos while the staff are feeding them. In addition, you can also see white tigers, lions, lynx, leopards, and black pumas as well as Bengali tigers in cages. There is a lovely gift shop with anything you can think of related to tigers, we even found a toy tiger singing a famous South African rugby song! If you can in the winter, make sure you are dressed up for -40 degrees C, it was freezing cold. We bought rabbit hair socks at one of the stalls near the park and that helped a lot for cold feet! The best is to negotiate with a taxi driver to take you there and...
